One of my New Year’s Resolutions has been to try and convert more of my skincare routine to using organic, natural products. These days, as my skin becomes more of a priority, it’s especially important to pay attention to the quality of the products I use – and to make sure I’m not exposing my skin to harsh or harmful chemicals. As if that wasn’t already reason enough to switch to natural products, an added bonus is that you can feel good about making a contribution to the health of our planet! Here are some natural beauty products that actually work – and that I’ve been using regularly:

Juice Beauty uses all natural, organic ingredients for their facial moisturizers and serums. They also put a lot of effort into making sure their production process is eco-friendly as possible. I recommend their Oil-Free Moisturizer as a simple, basic moisturizer that works effectively for most skin types.

Facial toners are really important, and cosmetic companies are always coming out with new toners that they claim to be the best of the best. But a lot of times, these products have a lot of added ingredients that your skin really doesn’t need (or want)! I can’t recommend Paula’s Choice Advanced Replenishing Toner enough. It’s infused with antioxidants and vitamins – and helps repair damage for the most youthful, radiant complexion.

NOTO is a gender-fluid, organic and vegan brand that makes a variety of skin products, moisturizers, makeup, and face oils – my personal favorite. Adding an oil to your beauty routine gives your skin extra glow and moisture. (I also love this one!)

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is an essential ingredient for a well-rounded skin care routine! One Love Organics has a wonderful Vitamin C Serum that will protect your skin and give it a youthful glow. Another one I’ve been obsessed with is Sunday Riley’s CEO Vitamin C & Turmeric Facial Oil.

Facial Scrub

I first discovered the brand Acure when I was shopping for groceries at Whole Foods, and the samples smelled so good that I decided to give their products a try! Their day and night creams are delicious-smelling and gentle on the skin, but the Brightening Facial Scrub is my favorite. I love how it gently exfoliates and leaves your skin feeling clean and fresh – with no harmful parabens or chemicals!

All Around Makeup

For natural tints, powders, bronzers, and much more check out the brand RMS Beauty. We don’t often think about the sheer quantity of make up our skin soaks up over time, but the natural ingredients in RMS Beauty products make them totally safe for everyday use. I’m especially a fan of its luminizers, lip & cheek tints, and concealer!

For a luxury lipstick that is also organic – I love Bite Beauty and Kosas, but if you’re looking for an under-the-radar brand that’s also luxe, I recommend Y Et Beaute. They all feel so amazing to apply! As far as quality, they are just as good as other designer makeup brands, but without the harmful ingredients or animal cruelty!

Tarte Cosmetics is a great natural cosmetic brand for everything, but their mascaras are game changers. This one is an all-time favorite that you should check out. It’s so good, you’ll wonder if it’s truly natural to begin with. Other brands I love in this department include W3LL PEOPLE and Chantecaille.

Base Makeup

Sometimes, when I don’t feel like wearing a full face of makeup, I’ll opt for a BB or CC cream for basic, light coverage. Some natural ones I recommend are Juice Beauty CC Cream and Supergoop CC Cream. This one one isn’t a CC or BB cream, but is totally worth mentioning – and it’s Tatcha’s Silk Canvas Protective Primer. The velvety finish is so gorgeous and can be worn on its own!
