As an influencer who’s always face is always forward and in the public eye, I know many of you wonder how I manage to stay confident. There’s a certain pressure to upkeep a certain image and have it altogether especially around the holidays, but I’m here to reassure you that there’s nothing wrong with a little insecurity or vulnerability. Confidence in this industry can feel a little superficial with the fancy frocks, bold lips, and the perfect complexion. However, remember that both beauty and confidence starts first and foremost within although the other stuff can help. I’m always a fan of accentuating those things that can help, so I’ll be sharing my beauty tips to look and feel confident this season

Drink Water & Eat Clean

There’s such a big emphasis on drinking water and eating clean these days because those small changes can really make a big difference – especially in how you feel. I’m a big believer that if you feel better, you immediately look better, which will naturally boost your confidence. I know it’s hard to resist all the alcohol and desserts over the holidays, so try to compensate for that by incorporating more color into your diet – especially greens – and adding an extra glass of water everyday. Since we all tend to feast a little more, sneaking in an extra glass is helpful for staying hydrated. If all else fails, add supplements like this green superfood powder.

Moisturize & SPF

Skincare is such an important part of my life especially during winter. That’s why it’s so critical for you to moisturize regularly and wear SPF – even when it’s snowing. When you take care of your skin, makeup enhances your features so much more. Facial oils are one of my favorite ways to moisturize in the fall/winter – they give your skin a slightly glowy effect that traditional moisturizers lack. Currently, I’m enjoying Sunday Riley’s UFO Ultra Clarifying Facial Oil for hydration and Supergoop! Sun-Defying Sunscreen Oil with Meadowfoam SPF 50 for sun protection.

Follow a Night-Time Routine for Your Skin Type

Not all skincare products are suited for everyone. It’s best that you learn your skin type and figure out which ingredients you don’t react well to. This will help you optimize an effective night-time skincare routine. A few things to consider are whether or not there are visible dry patches, if you get oily throughout the day, and what your primary concerns are (e.g. aging, dark spots, acne). I would encourage you to start incorporating retinols and acids. Knowing this will help keep your skin in the best condition possible. When your skin looks good, so does everything else.

Frame Your Face with Beautiful Brows

Eyebrows are extremely important to me because the size and shape can really make or break your look. Anastasia’s Brow Wiz is a cult-favorite, so it should be no surprise that I love this product just as much as everyone else. Find a shape that works best for your face. I like a defined arch because it really lifts my face. However, the thick, straight Korean brow trend lends a much youthful look. It’s all based on preference.

Wear Lipstick

You can probably tell how much I love wearing lipstick. I firmly believe the right color can be a huge confidence booster. A brighter bolder lipstick always brightens up a complexion – and with a smile, your radiance just becomes that much more pronounced. There’s that saying, “Happiest girls are the most confident”, and I believe it wholeheartedly. Let lipstick enhance your smile and confidence this season. I have a bias for YSL lip colors, but even something as simple as gloss can make all the difference.
