As I’m sure you guys know by now, fashion week is whirlwind that not only takes a humongous toll on your body – but your skin too (especially if you’re doing more than one city)! I mentioned here that SS20 was my busiest season yet, so I made sure to buckle down with the most effective products. I’ve had the luxury of trying out many through the course of my career but only a few are made to withstand the demands of fashion week. Here are 11 beauty products that helped me survive fashion month.

1. Dermalogica Facial Cleansing Gel

September may be the start of fall but temperatures stay pretty hot and humid through fashion week so my top skin concerns are always visible pores and oiliness. This Dermalogica cleanser rinses away dirt and debris without disrupting the skin’s natural moisture balance – great for those with fickle skin like me in times of stress.

2. Eighth Day Facial Tonic

I tend to break out at the onset of fashion week and it’s super annoying. This facial tonic is a mild chemical peel made with AHAs and sebum regulating technology to improve the skin’s texture. It’s potent and effective too!

3. La Prairie Skin Caviar Eye Lift

I’m so glad I was able to test this eye lift serum and get a full bottle right before fashion week. It comes with a high price tag but is so worth it. I love that it treats both the upper and under eye areas – the skin around my eyes always looks so much smoother and de-puffed. I can only imaging what it’ll do over time.

4. Bliss Rose Gold Cleanser

I’m always down for a fuss free cleanser and this one is it. The best thing about it is that it’s under $15 – and effectively removes makeup and impurities without stripping skin of its natural moisture/oils. It’s also free of dyes, parabens, and fragrance, which is perfect for sensitive skin types.

5. First Aid Beauty Radiance Pads

I can never survive fashion week without exfoliating pads – let alone traveling. These pads do such a great job exfoliating and brightening up the skin for a smooth canvas and natural glow.

6. Peter Thomas Roth Exfoliating Super Peel

In case it isn’t obvious by now, exfoliating products are key to surviving fashion week. This chemical peel is injected with a high dose of AHA/BHA to even out the skin and combat signs of aging. When you’re sleep deprived, dehydrated, and anxious, it comes to rescue keeping blemishes at bay and helping to reveal youthful looking skin.

7. Aveda Color Balm

A liquid lipstick that delivers hyper saturated color and moisture? Count me in – this Aveda Color Balm is all that and more! Best of all, it’s entirely plant-based and made without non-petroleum minerals or water. The cream finish and cushiony texture won’t dry out your lips even after a long day.

8. Tata Harper Energy Treatment

I’ve been more invested in a self-care routine and this Energy treatment is a huge part of it. It’s an oil that’s formulated to restore vitality and energy. You rub it on your hands (or place a few drops in a diffuser) and let the essential oils work their magic.

9. Dr. Barbara Sturm Lip Balm

I’m always on the hunt for that perfect lip balm. After discovering Dr. Barbara Sturm last year, I’ve been obsessed with her entire line, including this lip balm. It’s formulated with plant-based oils and delivers long-term moisture, leaving your lips super soft.

10. Charlotte Tilbury

Airbrush Flawless Foundation

I got to use this foundation during my Elle magazine shoot and instantly fell in love with the lightweight texture. I’m naturally oily so I prefer to stay away from super “glowy” bases. This one delivers a natural matte finish that stays put all day. It’s sweat-proof, transfer-proof, and feels unnoticeable. You only need to use a small amount too! There’s also a huge range of colors to fit a variety of skin tones.

11. Lord Jones x Tamara Mellon CBD Stiletto Cream

Did you know stiletto cream was a thing? If not for this nifty little product, I’m not sure that I would have survived all those hours in heels. Mixed with coca butter, shea butter, olive oil, and CBD, it helps numb your feet pain if you have a long night of heels ahead – or want to break in new designer heels. Just remember to let it absorb before wearing shoes!
