Pick the right place to stay:

When it comes to luxury travel with kids, amenities are the most worthy investment. Those little extras that keep the kids occupied are worth every penny, and allow you some well-deserved relaxation time. That’s why I chose the Four Seasons Resort in Hualalai— whose perks appeal to kids and teens. Hake Kua is a game center featuring an entertainment center, video games, and a spacious grass-area for outdoor games. Your kids won’t be limited to a little hotel room, and they can make some new friends while they’re at it!

Keep the kids occupied:

Make sure your kids always have something to do, to ensure that this is a vacation they will never forget—no matter how young they are! The Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ka Olina does just that, with their kid-friendly amenities and entertainment. This place was basically built for families with the travel bug! The resort—just minutes from Honolulu—provides opportunities for kids to build castles on white-sand beaches, hula dance lessons, and an amazing family-friendly pool. They even have a kid-friendly spa! Truly a mother’s luxury travel dream.

Never go hungry:

Plan your meals ahead, and make sure you (and your kids) never go anywhere hungry. And if you do, make sure you know there’s somewhere to eat wherever you’re going. Traveling on a full stomach will help you and your kids enjoy the sights without worrying about what’s for lunch, and when and where it’s going to happen. An amazing perk the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai offers is a family dinner on the beach—with a private chef who cooks according to your family’s likes and dislikes!

Eat smart:

When you’re on vacation, it’s incredibly easy to go for burgers, hot dogs, fries, and the like. But the problem with those foods? They make you feel tired, and they’re not high energy—especially for your kids! So eat smart, and eat local. Encourage your kids to try new things that they otherwise might not find where you live. Even if they don’t like it, they’ll remember the experience.

Pack light, but smart:

With kids, there’s always a lot of packing. For the easiest transition during your travels, try planning outfits—for your kids and for yourself, so there’s less stress about what to wear every morning. Think about all kinds of weather—rain, heat, cooler nights, but don’t double on an item you don’t need two of.
