Early fall sales have already started to trickle in, which bodes good news for everyone. Not only is it the perfect time to stock up on fall staples, but you can even get a head start on all your holiday outfits. With Thanksgiving just around the corner and Christmas following suit, it’s truly the best time to shop. Shopbop and Nordstrom both just marked down a thousands of merchandise while Bloomingdales is running a Buy More, Save More event – it’s the perfect trifecta with even more happening at & Other Stories (one of my all-time favorites). Scroll ahead for my favorite sale picks.

If there’s only one thing we’re caught wearing on the regular during the colder months, it’s knitwear. Whether you want to throw an oversized piece over fleece leggings, pair a cardigan with leather pants, or tuck a turtleneck into jeans, your options are endless.

2. Denim

Nothing compares to a good pair of jeans during fall and winter. There are so many great silhouettes and washes to pick from this season.

My go-to pair is a high-waisted straight leg or a super wide leg. Both are so easy to dress up or down and look super on trend.

3. Blazers

There’s never a wrong time to buy blazers. You can wear them all year long and style them in so many ways – match it up with a dress, team it with denim, cinch it at the waist with a statement belt, or go for a full on suit. I’ve been really digging plaid prints, pinstripes, and oversized neutral styles.

4. Boots

Boots are another one of those versatile fall staples that will carry you through the next few seasons and beyond. If you’re able to snag a classic style, then you’ll even wear them for the next several years. There are so many options to love from white booties to over the knee styles, croc-effect textures, and more.

5. Coats

Nothing gets more visible exposure than your most outermost layer in the fall. Though many of us are all about throwing a killer outfit together, truth be told, it’s often hidden under piles of layers around this time of year. And this is why investing in a few stylish coats is essential. Always make sure to have a tailored option, faux fur style, and then another one for casual wear such as a puffer.

6. Base Layers

Since fall and winter fashion is all about layers, don’t neglect those base layers. Think bodysuits, henleys, and basic tees. They’ll take your wardrobe a long way because you can wear them under everything – and wear them season after season.

7. Formal Wear

The holiday season will be creeping up on us soon enough, and it’s always so stressful to find the perfect cocktail attire on a time crunch. I love using early fall sales to grab one or two pieces that can be taken for a night out and repurposed into daywear – like this satin skirt. Check out some of my favorites on sale below.
