Clearly in Love

The barely-there trend is not going away anytime soon. This sheer, almost “naked” look is the definition of sultry, making it a really bold option for this upcoming Valentine’s Day. Of course, with all looks, there are levels to how far you want to take it! For instance, a curve-accentuating sheer gown would absolutely be breathtaking for an extravagant night out look. But you could also go the more softer route and shop semi-sheer dresses in lighter colorations and voluminous silhouettes for an outfit that leans a bit more romantic and demure, while still hitting that barely-there trend.

Romantic in Red

Of course, there is nothing that oozes romance more than the color red. This Valentine’s Day classic coloration is meant to represent all things love and passion. If you are looking to evoke similar vibes then I highly recommend shopping for red dresses for February 14th. Even if you and your lover decide to spend Valentine’s Day indoors with a home cooked meal (or takeout), you can always get dressed up in the comfort of your own home since it is such a special holiday. It makes your stay-at-home date night all the more special and memorable.

Make a Statement

There is something about a statement sleeve that gives off an almost vintage-inspired romantic aesthetic. I think it would be another detail worth considering adding to your Valentine’s Day outfit this year. You could opt for a statement puff sleeve on a dress or even a ruched sleeve on a top or sweater if you want an alternative to a dress. Whatever the case, the volume adds a lot of surface interest to your look that ultimately makes a big impact on your date outfit. I linked some killer, romance-inducing statement sleeve pieces for you to shop below.

Blazin’ Love

For more relaxed Valentine’s Day outfit ideas, you can always rely on a blazer to look both polished and chic. Yes, your classic neutral options can easily be styled with perhaps a lace bodysuit and a pair of trousers. However, you may want to invest in an option that is even more fitting for the holiday. A hot pink, blush or red blazer is a great way to dress up and also get into the spirit of V-day. It adds that pop of thematic color that just makes sense. If you choose to wear a brightly hued blazer such as this, you can keep the rest of your outfit rather subdued so the outer layer really stands out and becomes the forefront of your Valentine’s Day look.

Lovely in Lavender

I know I mentioned blush and red are colors that classically represent the holiday of love. However, if you want to still channel the lovey dovey vibes but not necessarily wear those colors, I am also here to vouch for lavender. It is still a feminine colorway but more cool-toned and subdued than a hot pink or a cherry red. Lavender is also such a youthful shade that translates well into any piece or silhouette. Not convinced? Just shop the below lovely lavender pieces to wear this upcoming Valentine’s Day.
