3 THINGS I LOOK FOR IN THE PERFECT FALL FRAGRANCE

There’s a lot that goes into pulling off a night out look that most people don’t think about. Sure, you have the outfit, the perfect shoes, and accentuating jewelry, but what about the finishing touches? There is one other thing I put a lot of energy into before I head out the door, and although most people wouldn’t put a second thought on it, I consider this an essential invisible accessory. Now, let’s get on with what I personally look for in a fall fragrance:

1. Feminine

Most people like to change out their floral, citrusy summer perfumes for something spicy and woody in the fall and winter. Although I do like spicy and woody scents, I always want a perfume that’s still feminine and sensual especially for a night out. Tory Burch’s Azur Nuit exudes a floral woody musk that’s sophisticated and lady-like. It’s very fresh and elegant but not too strong even for the most sensitive nose.

2. Warmth

So as I just mentioned, I do prefer floral scents. In the fall, I want that floral to come off warmer, and I think this fragrance nailed it with that rare note of fig and touches of cedarwood and musk. This perfume makes me think of late evening walks on the beach, wrapped in a blanket scarf, in the middle of fall. It’s just the right amount of warmth and floral.

3. Longevity

Finally, if I’m going to commit to a fragrance, it needs to be long lasting. Most of my night outs last more than just a few hours, and since fragrance is what I consider an invisible accessory, I want it to strike those around me – in a good way of course. I feel like scents provoke memories and evoke emotions, and this one definitely has that power. I wore it for several hours, and it was still going strong.
