There are always a ton of things to do in New York, especially summer. But one of the things that you must do is probably try al fresco dining. People watching and enjoying the breeze with some good friends will really leave some wonderful memories of your summer days.

If you find yourself in New York on a weekend, you’ll realize right away that there are tons of options when it comes to dining. But to do al fresco dining right, I’m sharing a few of my favorite spots that you’ll need to try!

Sauvage

This cute spot is located in Brooklyn, but trust me the trek is well worth it when you stumble on its Parisian vibe chairs and golden table all set up outside around the restaurants. You’ll find yourself trying to decide between the usual brunch options like french toasts and pancakes (but I really recommend the french toasts).

Gemma

Gemma is located at the Bowery Hotel in a downtown area. This place is pretty much a go-to for a lot of people who live in the the area, so you’re in for a pretty authentic New York al fresco dining experience. Gemma serves some delicious brunch food, but the drinks are great for staying cool and great conversations as the place is polished, but still really casual.

Narcissa

I recommend Narcissa for a special occasion if you’re going to go here. The food top-notched so that calls for the price being a little steeper. But the atmosphere of a closed garden in the middle of Manhattan makes for great intimacy.

Cafe Clover

Cafe Clover’s decor is to die for, but in the summer, they set up a pretty amazing outdoor scene. Having brunch at Cafe Clover will transport you to another place where it doesn’t even feel like you’re brunching in the middle of New York, but somewhere in the European countryside. Not to mention that the eggs here are some of my favorites in the city.

Beaubourg

Saved the best one for last. Beaubourg is a gorgeous restaurant with an al fresco dining setup that I die for every time I see it. The best part? The food is just as good, in fact, even better for dinner time! I highly recommend you visit this one if you’re going to be in New York!

Do you enjoy al fresco dining? Would love to hear if you have any other favorites around the city too! Would love to check them out!
