Cozy Cardigans

Cardigans of all kinds continue to trend hard this season, and you should introduce the item into your wardrobe if you already haven’t. They’re an of-the-moment way to add dimension to any fall look. What I love most about this season’s cardis is that they look expensive even if you’re not spending a lot of money since they’re intrinsically polished.

Oversized styles like the one I’m wearing from Walmart is great for tucking into denim and trousers. You can even layer a basic tee underneath as the weather gets cooler. Cropped styles can be teamed with dresses, wide-leg pants, and leather skirts.

Layering Basics

No one gets through fall without layering basics. Some of those essentials for me are mock neck bodysuits, turtleneck tops, and basic tees that you can wear underneath dresses and cardigans – or even style on their own. Since I go through them so fast, it makes more sense to go the affordable route. Fortunately, Walmart has a huge collection of basics that you’ll reach for repeatedly for the remainder of the year – and no one will ever know they’re under $50!

Lug Sole Boots

If there’s only boot style that I recommend for fall, it’s the lug sole boot and you can get the designer look for less with this pair I’m wearing. It definitely adds a toughness to your look but in a really modern way. Plus, they’re extremely practical in the cooler months when you’re treading throw snow, rain, or ice.

Plaid Outerwear

Plaid is one of my staple fall prints. It not only conjures up preppy vibes from the late 90’s and early aughts, but it allows you to play with more colorful hues in a way that still feels luxe and grown up. At Walmart, you can shop from menswear-inspired coats to blazers and shirt jackets that let you in on the trend without breaking the bank.

What under $50 fall staples do you guys swear by?
