It’s probably no secret that I’m around clothes all the time whether it’s fashion week or not. From one show room to the next, I have no choice but to tune into the latest designer drops and trends. I’ve become ultra picky when it comes to adding clothes to my wardrobe and have learned to ignore the nonessential. That being said, if you’re striving to approach fashion more sustainably this year, I wanted to share the only 10 pieces that truly matter this season. These pieces will ensure your spring wardrobe is updated yet on-trend, but most importantly, not wasteful! Below, you’ll find a variety of styles at different price points that you can quickly get a hold of right now.

1. Free People Racer Tank Top

Basics are back in a big way and I love how they can be worn with literally everything. Dress them down with jeans on the weekends or pair them with a midi slip skirt and strappy heels for a coffee date – your styling options are infinite. This cropped, 90’s inspired tank is under $30 and comes in the best neutral colors. I’m also loving this one here if you’re willing to spend a little more.

2. Tony Bianco Toe Ring Sandals

The easiest way to add spring vibes to your wardrobe are through shoes, and Tony Bianco is killing it right now. Everything 90’s-related seems to be relevant again, including low-heeled, slide sandals. Major bonus points if it’s got a toe-ring or thong detail going on. I love that this pair is versatile enough to be worn with denim, dresses, or trousers.

P.S. If you’re into that Bottega look, then I’m sure you’ll love this pair!

3. Staud Gathered Handbag

New Bottega vibes are everywhere, and while it seems like all the fashion girls are dropping upwards of $2k on a handbag, I know it isn’t feasible for the majority. That being said, lots of my favorite and more affordable brands are giving you the “Bottega look” for less. This Staud bag is the perfect example – save 15% when you purchase it from Matches Fashion!

4. Topshop Beige Jeans

These jeans are not only perfect for the color, but that tan topstitching puts a fresh spin on it! The fact that they’re not a true white means you can wear them year-round (and even through the end of 2020). They’re not see-through and contain the perfect amount of stretch so you probably won’t want to take them off!

5. Reformation Lemon Printed Dress

Square neckline, puffed shoulders, and a cheeky print is what spring dresses are all about. This Reformation dress ticks off all the requirements and is just what you need for your next beach trip, cruise, or backyard party (also, loving this one)! I can see it being styled with sneakers or lace up flats.

For something entirely fresh and novel, your spring wardrobe needs these leather bermuda shorts. The classic tailoring and high-waisted fit are ultra flattering. All you need to complete the look is minimal sandals and a streamlined bodysuit. Don’t be one of the late bloomers – get on this trend now!

7. Mango Wide Leg Linen Pants

If your goal is to look expensive, then these wide leg linen pants are the answer. As seen on some of my favorite celebs and stylists (i.e. Victoria Beckham, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Gigi Hadid and more), they make you look taller, elongate your legs, and just make you look more luxe and elevated. This season, try dressing them up with square-toe heels or tone them down with slide sandals.

8. Bardot Boiler Suit

The boiler suit is the throw-on-and-go piece you need for spring. With essentially no styling involved, you can get out the door while looking chic in just a few minutes. I love that this one feels feminine enough that it can be worn to work.

9. Vitamin A Bikini Set

There are so many reasons to love this bikini. Not only are the clean lines right in line with spring trends, but the brown color is a minimalist’s dream come true. I can’t wait to wear this by the pool or on the beach.

10. Topshop Trench Coat

Early spring still has its chilly days and my layering outerwear of choice goes to the trench. This one is ideal for the oversized fit, but I also like that it’s a pared back version of your typical trench – so you get more of that street style look.
