In just a few days, we will be celebrating the end of yet another decade all across the world. Although, I am in denial at how quickly these past 12 months seemed to have zoomed by, I am also equally excited at the thought of a new year. But before we launch into resolutions, hopes and dreams, we still need to pay homage to 2019! New Year’s Eve is all about celebrating your accomplishments and putting your best foot forward for the start of the new year, which invariably means you need to dress the part! Whether your plans consist of a small gathering with close friends, a flashy night at the club, or a house party, it is time to get glam! Here are some of my favorite New Year’s Eve dresses fit enough to pop bubbly and watch the ball drop in.

Embellished Shimmer

What’s a NYE look without some sparkle? For your more grandiose of plans, you can never go wrong with an embellished dress to give you that NYE glam you have always been looking for. Sequins, beading and fringe are all fit for this occasion, no matter which silhouette you end up choosing. I say, the more the embellishment manages to capture the light and emit a glow – the better!

Decadent Luxe

Another option fit for a queen are dresses comprised of really luxurious materials like velvet. First of all, I always find this soft fabric to be more fitting during the colder months because it has a heavier look to it. Plus, velvet definitely has an upscale aesthetic that lends itself perfectly for a night out celebrating the inception of a new year.

Curve Hugging

Whether you have a NYE kiss lined up or not, the night should ultimately be about you looking and feeling your best. After all, there are not too many chances when one has the excuse to get completely dolled up. A curve accentuating dress looks killer on anyone with the confidence to rock it. No matter what, you will show up the party looking on point and fully ready to party the night away.

Satin

If you are looking for a lighter weight option for NYE, satin is another luxe dress option. There are some really affordable styles but the satin manages to make it look more expensive than it really is! Neutrals, such as ivory and black, always look classy but don’t be afraid to try bolder colors like aqua, red and hot pink. Satin is amazing because it takes color so well!

All Leather

The end of the year is also an amazing opportunity to style one of your favorite trends from the past few months. For me, this has to be the leather fashion movement that swept the scene.

For your NYE plans, you should pick a leather dress because it manages to look chic, on-trend and flattering on all at the same time. You can even add your New Years sparkle with the addition of statement jewelry.
