We are embarking on one of the busiest times of the year! Now that September is winding down to an end, not only are the holidays going to start rolling in but we are also faced with another rambunctious wedding season! This time around, I thought it would be fun to approach these milestone events with some flair. Today, I wanted to show you some non-traditional fall wedding guest outfits you can rock to your next event if you are looking to switch it up from the normal dress. This is a fun way to still show up for the momentous occasion, while also ringing true to your own sense of style. So let’s uncover some unique fall wedding guest outfits.

Crop Top & Midi Skirt

Tired of pulling out the same black dress from the depths of your wardrobe? Why not let this one rest while you try out a chic crop top and midi skirt combo. It still offers up a similar aesthetic but with an updated twist. The separation between the two pieces creates a makeshift cut out effect that reveals just the slightest amount of skin that is still appropriate for a wedding. Depending on your style, you could either opt for matching separates or more of a contrasted look such as this long sleeve black top and banana yellow midi skirt.

Suit Up

Do a complete 360 turn and rock a full on suit for your next wedding. Tailored pieces are as trendy as ever this season and it is a great way to show off your incredible fashion flexibility. Plus, contrary to popular belief, a suit can be just as feminine as any dress when you know how to style it correctly! Put on your most flattering red lip, grab a structured handbag and a pair of heels to complete this unique, chic wedding guest look.

Texture

In case you are still interested in sporting a dress for your next wedding, you can step out of the box by wearing a style that incorporates more texture. Immediately, the first thing that comes to my mind is ruffles because you can achieve a lot

of volume with this added detail! Whether it be layers made of soft, dramatic tulle or your more standard ruffles to add dimension, opting for a textured dress will certainly set your fall wedding guest outfits apart from others.

Cozy Knits

One of the largest fall trends is elevated knitwear. Body-hugging ribbed knits and novelty knits are some of the season’s must-have items so what better way to incorporate this look than into an upcoming wedding outfit. There are so many gorgeous matching sets and one-pieces to choose from. Personally, I find myself leaning towards the neutrals in this department because it tends to elevate the overall aesthetic. Additionally, you can repurpose your knit pieces by dressing them down for everyday wear once the wedding is over.

Power Boots

Last but not least, my last recommendation would be to swap your heels for some power boots to pair with your dress or skirt (of course – if the dress code permits). This is ideal for more casual setting weddings where you can get away with letting your footwear be more non-traditional. A powerful pair of OTK boots or chunky lugsole booties is a great way to toughen up your typical wedding guest dress.
